Welcome To My Campaign
I am a lifetime resident of Bexar County. Over the years, I have met many of you and, since taking the bench in December, 2008, I have been honored by all of the support I have received.
I have pledged to judge each case on its merits, to work hard and to remain fair and impartial. I have kept a quote from my Father on my desk since the day I was sworn in which reads: "It is better to listen than to be heard". This I have tried to do in a patient, courteous and respectful manner.
I realize that, more often than not, the people who come before our Courts are emotional and confused and most likely experiencing one of the most difficult periods of their lives. I have dealt with such clients for 35 years as a lawyer, mediator and arbitrator and since, December, 2008, as your Judge of the 288th District Court. To the extent I am able, I have pledged to make their journey through the legal system at least a little more tolerable.
This position that I hold is a culmination of a lifetime of work and I am able, ready and honored to continue to serve you. I have been named "Best Lawyer" and "Super Lawyer” in Family Law and in Mediation in “Texas Monthly”, and other publications. I bring experience, dedication and hard work to the bench. I have always tried to do the right thing and will always do so if allowed the privilege to continue to serve as your Judge of the 288th District Court.
